Day 15

Day 15

The beginning of the end. We can do this.

In our first class, the photographer came and afterwards we took a group photo on the stage we will be performing on. It is pretty small, but when that’s all the space you can see, it doesn’t look small. When we rehearse in the studio, we rehearse in the amount of stage we have which is not relatively large.

My blister is healing quickly! It’s looking much smaller today, but for some reason my right ankle got really swollen. It felt bruised and was super puffy. I don’t actually know what that’s from… Maybe I bumped it at some time yesterday? Who knows?

The second class was less successful. It’s hard to learn the pink dance because there are some parts that are improvised. But at any rate, Ms. Farrell was not too pleased. What I love about this class is that everyone is driven to do their best, so we all got together tonight and rehearsed in the hotel. I feel much more confident now about the pink dance. We have Bolero under our belts, so we have just been concerning ourselves with the pink dance.

No event today, just grocery shopping. Last grocery trip in DC! I have been taking care of my ankle and blister. All of us are exhausted. I actually slept for about an half an hour before I went down to rehearse. Now, I plan on getting a good night’s sleep and preparing for tomorrow. As Ms. Farrell said, “Tomorrow, you all must be prepared for anything. No, be prepared for everything.” I think she is really going to push us hard tomorrow, but a Bible verse that has been helping me through this all is Phillipians 4:6-8

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
