In 2 days, I’m going to Utah to do a 3 day hike in Paria Canyon! I’m really looking forward to it. My dad and brother(s) go every year and this is my first time! Last year was treacherous because my family went during flood season. They had to hike through insanely deep puddles filled with sticks, and some people ran out of drinking water. Eventually, they had to climb out of the gulch and be rescued by the sheriff. Now, this may be an exaggeration, since this is from my 11 year old brother’s perspective, but it still sounds scary, even if it was not that severe. Anyways, this year is supposed to be far better and I can not wait to start! On Thursday, we have to drive at 6AM to Utah. From there, our adventure begins! I think Sammy (my brother) or my dad will be filming it and you can watch the video on YouTube when our journey is completed.

On August 15, I will be moving to Denver! I’m so very excited and I can not wait to be living in an apartment and being independent. Now of course I am going to miss my family and friends dearly, but the majority of them have already promised me a visit. My mom and my sister already have their tickets! I am planning how to decorate my room, trying to fit a job into my crazy dance schedule, and getting my wardrobe ready. I am so excited to meet all the new teachers and students. It is going to be so exciting, especially if I can get into Nutcracker, because that will be my first Nutcracker! Also, I have already found a church there. It’s a church that is branching out from where I live and I’m so happy about that. It’s like a little piece from home. I am planning to meet with the pastor and his wife soon. It will be so refreshing to have a place to go where everyone shares the same love for God!

Anyways, just wanted to post and give you all an update. Also, I plan on bringing Journeytoballet back up. I was really busy for a while and had no time, but I will definitely post in Denver!
